About Douglas Ebenstein

Douglas Ebenstein is the president and CEO of Capital Commercial Properties, a family owned and operated commercial real estate company operating predominantly in the Washington DC-Northern Virginia- Maryland area.  He is also the president and CEO of Eden Center, Inc., one of the largest Vietnamese shopping centers in the United States. He is also a philanthropist, loving husband, and proud father.

Douglas Ebenstein Leads Commercial Development and Retail Leasing Efforts Along the East Coast


Douglas is the President and CEO of Capital Commercial Properties, a family owned company that focuses on retail leasing and commercial development throughout the East coast with a primary focus on the Washington DC Metropolitan Region. Douglas is also the President of Eden Center, Inc., one of the largest Vietnamese and Asian-American shopping centers in the United States. Douglas’s strategy for success is to carefully evaluate the potential of each new opportunity and invest for the long term.


Family Business and Philanthropy


Douglas joined his father, Norman Ebenstein, at Capital Commercial Properties in 1978 and helped to drive the company’s expansion. His older daughter Lisa joined the company in 2015, and his younger daughter Lori in 2020. Douglas is a longtime member of B’nai Israel, a congregation in Boca Raton, and contributes to the Morgan Pressel Foundation, which raises money to fight breast cancer. He also donates to several not-for-profit organizations and academic institutions, including Brown University, Duke University, Pinecrest School, and Saint Andrew’s School.


Real Estate Development


As CEO of Capital Commercial Properties Douglas leads commercial development and retail leasing efforts along the east coast, mainly in the Washington DC metropolitan area, including the suburbs of Virginia and Maryland. This includes developing, owning, leasing and managing shopping centers and multi-family residential projects. Eden Center, which Douglas oversees, is the largest Vietnamese shopping center on the east coast and has more than 120 businesses including restaurants, cafes, jewelry stores, salons, travel agencies, beauty shops and music stores.


Tennis Career of Douglas Ebenstein


Douglas was a professional tennis player in the ATP and achieved a world ranking of 300. He competed on the varsity tennis team at Brown University, playing both singles and doubles, and was ranked number one in doubles and singles competitions during his last two years at school.
