Eden Center recently hosted an unforgettable field trip to the heart of the Vietnamese-American community in Falls Church.
Eden Center, the largest Vietnamese shopping center on the east coast recently opened its doors to a group of enthusiastic Meridian High School students and teachers. The event was designed to immerse participants in the rich history and cultural significance of the Vietnamese-American community in the DMV region.
Students learned the fascinating history of the Vietnamese-American community and how Eden Center became a cornerstone of cultural preservation and community pride.
A highlight of the day was a lively Q&A session with Falls Church Mayor Letty Hardi and Eden Center Vice President Graham Eddy. Mayor Hardi and Mr. Eddy shared insightful perspectives on the importance of Eden Center to the local community and its future as a cultural landmark.
Students eagerly engaged with questions, gaining a deeper understanding of the center’s role in promoting Vietnamese heritage and fostering community connections.
The field trip was further enriched by the generous contributions of Eden Center businesses. Kao Sarn Thai Street Food restaurant, Mia & More Sugarcane Juicery, and One1ea – Taiwanese Cafe & Tea House. These businesses shared their unique stories and provided delicious samples and treats, giving students a taste of the diverse culinary delights that Eden Center has to offer.
As the students toured landmarks within Eden Center, they were captivated by the vibrant atmosphere and the stories behind each establishment. The experience was not only educational but also a celebration of the diverse cultures that make up the fabric of the community.
