Leading the charge at Capital Commercial Properties, Inc. and Eden Center, Inc., Douglas Ebenstein is a dynamic force in the Washington DC retail scene. With a robust academic background, Doug holds a BA in economics from Brown University and a JD from Duke University School of Law.
His passion for tennis saw him shine on Brown’s varsity team, earning top ranks in singles and doubles, and even a stint in the professional ATP circuit, ranking 300 globally.
In 1978, Doug joined forces with his father, Norman, at Capital Commercial Properties, propelling the company’s growth. Today, his daughters, Lisa and Lori, continue this legacy.
Doug’s community involvement is equally impressive, with significant contributions to Brown University’s athletic programs and the Morgan Pressel Foundation. Residing in Boca Raton, Florida, Doug enjoys tennis, shooting sporting clays, and spending quality time with his family and grand-dogs.
Norman Ebenstein: The Visionary Founder
Born in 1928 in New York City and raised in Worcester, MA, Norman Ebenstein’s life was steeped in the values of education and family. He founded Capital Commercial Properties in 1961, leading the company for over five decades. Norman’s notable achievements include the transformation of Eden Center, a vibrant hub for the Vietnamese-American community in Falls Church, VA.
A graduate of Brown University with a degree in economics, Norman also earned a JD from Boston University School of Law. His passion for tennis saw him rank in New England’s top 20 for the 45 and over category.
Norman’s philanthropic spirit led to the creation of a charitable foundation, ensuring his legacy of giving continued. He cherished time with his family and exploring the world on cruises. Norman’s remarkable journey ended in 2016, but his legacy thrives under the stewardship of his son Doug and granddaughters, Lisa and Lori.
